Instagram has changed the way we receive information and look at images, it has grown so quickly and shows no signs of slowing down any time soon! I have to admit I spend a whole lot of time viewing, admiring imagery from all over the world, getting information from peoples post, reading stories and laughing at some hilarious boomerangs!
I can travel and not have to read up where to go or where is the best place to eat or drink anymore as I can just do a quick search on instagram and hundreds of thousands of images plus reviews, opinions and more show up for me, I can follow aspirational photographers who travel the world capturing images I may not ever have had the pleasure of seeing and taking me with them to far away places and countries I may never get the chance to visit, and finally if I am in need of inspiration for a new project or just looking for something new to photograph - instagram will be my first go to! Here are some of my favourite accounts to follow and hopefully they become yours too!
Verity Milligan - @veritymilligan
Verity Milligan is a seriously talented photographer, and one of my instagram favourites, her shots vary between stunning Scottish landscapes to images of Birmingham that really do the city justice with nature and seascapes in between.
Verity is an ambassador for Zeiss camera lenses and a columnist for Practical photography magazine. Working out of Birmingham she has been creating images for the best part of a decade. She loves to take photographs and to share her work with the world. recent clients of Verity's include BMWMarketing, Birmingham, Calthorpe Estates, Yorkshire Tea, Visit England, Grand Central Birmingham & many more.

Alishia Love - @alishialove (@byalishialove + @tog.ldn)
Alishia is a photographer based in London who originally trained and worked as an actress which gives her an experience in the art of storytelling, her photography began 5 years ago, shortly before moving to London. Starting out focusing on headshots for performers, she has since grown a great deal with her photography now shooting fashion photography and content for brands.
She loves to work in natural light but looking through her work it seems she is at home in the studio too! Alishia's instagram feed is curated beautifully with a constant flow of neutral colours and a perfect mix of photographic work and personal imagery.
Alishia is also the owner of the photography products company Tog.ldn who make amazing vegan leather photography products such as camera bags, photography pouches and planners for photographers, as well as this venture Alishia also has a podcast channel called Tog Talks where she catches up with different Photographers and talks all things Photography.

Tim Cornbill - @timcornbill
Tim Cornbill is an international award-winning professional photographer and chartered architect, based in Birmingham, UK. He specialises in commercial, architectural, construction and event photography. Tim is a double winner in the 2017 Sony World Photography Awards, in the Open Architecture category and UK National Award, he creates some of the most stunning images including cityscapes, landscapes, the moon and even lighting.
Tim has recently had a book published ‘Urban Photography’ and has had won many awards since starting photography. I particularly like his astro photography which includes lunar shots as well as stars and space images.

Ross Jukes - @Rossjukes
Again another beautifully curated feed that flows through an almost pastel palette of colours with a beautiful array of soft tones. Jukes is a self taught freelance photographer based in Birmingham who enjoys shooting the Birmingham scenes and streets as well as being an automotive photographer.
As a commercial photographer some of his clients include HSBC, Rolls Royce, BBC, FleetMilne Property, Birmingham University, Maserati, Visit Britain and many more
I chose Ross as I think his images, like verity show off what he photographs, especially his images of Birmingham which really do the city justice, something that I aspire my images to be doing In the future. and as someone who enjoys street photography Jukes street images are some of the best.

Lara Jade - @larajadephotography
Born in Staffordshire Lara Jade first picked up a camera at the early age of fourteen - influenced by self-portraiture and conceptual photography. Growing up with the rise of social media and digital techniques enabled Lara to see the bigger picture of an international industry. After graduating college she made the move to London, where she naturally felt the transition to fashion photography.
Lara's work Is mainly editorial and is usually either fashion or portraiture and looking through her feed it mainly studio based but by viewing her her work is equally as competent out on location.
Lara is someone who has inspired me to start in the portrait and fashion line of work after a few years of street and commercial photography, her work is very clean and this reflects in her beautifully light themes that runs through her feed!

Steve McCurry - @stevemccurryoffical
Steve McCurry is one of the most well known documentary photographers around, ever since capturing his famous 'Afghan Girl' for national geographic his career has just been an upward slope since. He has continued shooting for National Geographic and is also a member of the prestigious Magnum Photos.
McCurry's feed is awash with incredible examples of his photojournalism from around the world. From a war torn area in the east to the urban streets of Los Angeles, each picture tells a story in its own right
His portfolio spans through several countries, cultures and years and his skill behind the camera is incredible, The vibrancy, vantage and composition of his photographs will leave you amazed. Capturing culture through his lens, this Instagram account will tell you a thousand tales and take you on a journey you all around the world.

Chris Burkard - @chrisburkard
Chris Burkard is an accomplished Photographer, explorer and more, traveling throughout the year to pursue the farthest expanses of the planet, Burkard works to capture stories that inspire humans to consider their relationship with nature, and promoting preservation along the way.
Burkard has established himself as a global presence and influencer with his feed reflecting this, each post tells a different story, a different place and his images inspiring travel to me! He always adds a personal story to his jaw-dropping photography, which makes this account particularly fun to follow.
